Alberta J. Lee of Arapahoe died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. She was 54. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 9, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church south of Riverton. The Rev. Dan Gannon will officiate. Interment will be at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery at St. Stephen's. There will be a rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at Eagle Hall at St. Stephens with a wake to follow at 753 Left Hand Circle. Alberta Josephine Lee was born in Riverton on April 29, 1954, the daughter of Robert Edward Lee and Rita Gambler Lee. She attended elementary school at Stephen's and Riverton High School. Ms. Lee was a homemaker and member of the Catholic faith, attending St. Stephen's Catholic Church. She was a life-time resident of the Wind River Reservation. She worked as a teacher's aide at the St. Stephen's and Arapahoe Schools, was formerly a nurse's aide at Fremont Manor and the Wyoming State Training School at Lander, and worked as an aide in the Northern Arapaho Daycare. Her family said she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends, attending pow-wows, and collecting memorabilia. Survivors include sons, Cy Lee, Sheldon Miller, and Mark C'Hair; daughter, Sheila Buffalomeat and her husband, Nelson, Linda Antelope and husband Jerome, Kay Davis, and Karen Erickson; brothers, Kenneth Monroe, Alfred, Howard, Stanley Spoonhunter, and Elmer Blackbird; sisters, Bernice Miller and husband William, Amelia Shakespeare, Laura Shakespeare, Sarah Black, and Florence Trosper; numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; Godmother, Alice Moss; special friends, Claudine Trumbull, Alberta C'Hair, Simona Arthur, and Debbie Delorme. She was preceded in death by her parents. Robert and Rita Lee; brothers, Albert, James, Johnny, Buster, and Charles Lee, Charles and Jerome Gambler, Sr.; sisters, Anita, Ella Mae, Mary Catherine, Mary Jane, and Theresa; an aunt, Margaret Spoonhunter, and uncle, George Gambler.
