Charles “Chuck” Dziatkiewicz, 68, of Dubois, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2017, at the Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton. As were his wished cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.

Charles Edward Dziatkiewicz was born on December 2, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI to Edward F. and Audrey nee (Rogowski) Dziatkiewicz. He grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from high school there.

He was a Christian. He was of many dominations and was one to never judge different beliefs.

Chuck served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971. He then served with the Navy from 1976 to 1978. He was honorably discharged from both services and was proud to have served his country especially during a turbulent time in our history.

He worked as an Engineer for Chicago Northwest Railroad until an injury redirected his career. He found his calling as a nurse and loved it. He moved to Wyoming over thirty years ago and worked all over Wyoming as a nurse. His work took him from Montana, Alaska, and all over Wyoming.

Wyoming was his place. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting were his life. He had lived in Alaska for a time but it was Wyoming that was his home and especially Dubois. He was at home in the mountains and enjoyed it greatly. He had a great sense of humor and went by the nickname of “Alphabet” with a smile.

He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Rice and her husband, Kyle of Wasilla, AK; mother, Audrey Dziatkiewicz of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Eliana, Abri, Jude, and Silas Rice all of Alaska; sisters, Mary Beth Scalf and husband, Gary, and Ann Dziatkiewicz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward F. Dziatkiewicz and brother, Lee Dziatkiewicz.
