Janette DeCoteau, 62, of rural Riverton passed away at her home on Monday, December 17, 2018. Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled.
Janette Elizabeth Gillpatrick was born on January 17, 1956 in Riverton, WY to Sherman Hermis and Mary Frances (Geraud) Gillpatrick. She grew up in Riverton and graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 1974.
Janette was baptized into the Catholic faith.
On May 11, 1974 she married Wesley H. DeCoteau in Arapahoe, WY. Together they had two children and raised them in the Arapahoe area.
Janette worked as a hostess at different restaurants during her working career.
She enjoyed cooking for her family, traveling with her husband, and visiting out of state family.
She is survived by her husband, Wesley “Wes” DeCoteau; son Christopher DeCoteau and wife, Meghan; their children, Wesley and Gemma DeCoteau; daughter, Stacy DeCoteau-Conley and her children, Andromeda and Joshua II Conley; brother, Russell Gillpatrick; sister-in-law, Janice Cook and husband Bruce; and brother-in-law, Frank DeCoteau and wife Marty Moyers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Mary Frances Gillpatrick; grandparents, Marie and Jaques Geraud; and sister, Sheres Martinez.
