Donald Joel Aycock passed away peacefully at his Austin, Texas home on Friday, February 1, 2019, after a long battle with cancer, at the age of 69.

Don was born in Port Arthur, Texas on September 24, 1949, to Donald and Juanita Aycock. He attended and graduated from Nederland High in Nederland, Texas in 1967.

He married Lynda Devillier at St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland, Texas on November 21, 1970.

Don, Lynda and Jason moved to Riverton in 1971 and called it home until present day. He owned and operated Wind-River Mud and Fremont Chemical from the early 70s until 1998, when he retired. One of his early life’s accomplishments was to succeed in producing his pure bred, award -winning line of Limousine cattle on his ranch in Pavillion, Wyoming. He was an avid bowhunter and probably the world's best fisherman. He loved spending time with family and friends and playing with his grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Lynda; Sons - Jason (Allyson) of Austin, Texas ; Jeremy (Oksana) of Dubois, Wyoming; Daughters – Jennifer of Austin, Texas and Julianna of Midland, Texas; Grandsons – Ethan Aycock, Noah Randall, and Adam Aycock all of Austin, Texas and granddaughter Bernadette Aycock of Dubois, Wyoming. Sisters – Virginia Miller (Jackie) of Hemphill Texas, Karen Sue Noble (Craig) of Nederland, Texas, Peggy Villarreal (Mike) of Port Neches, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, close friends, and colleagues.

He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Juanita Aycock.

A very casual celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 30, at the Riverton Country Club in Riverton, Wyoming from 5 to 8 p.m.

Please mail or any stories, memories and/or photos of times spent with Don to Lynda at the family home – 460 Fairway Drive, Riverton, WY 82501. These will be shared with all family and friends at his celebration.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Don Aycock Education Fund at Bank of the West or in care of Davis Funeral Home, 2201 West Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
