Karen Day, 65, of Dubois passed away at the Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake City, UT on Friday, March 13, 2020. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Karen Mae Wicks was born in Casper, WY to William John Wicks, Sr. and Glenneta Mae (Donaldson) Wicks. She grew up in Casper graduating school there. She moved to Riverton to attend Central Wyoming College where she earned her Associates Degree.

Karen was a Christian and had a strong faith.

On August 12, 2006 she married Rodger Day in Dubois on No Man’s Land Mountain. She made her forever home with him in Dubois for the last sixteen years.

Karen worked as an After School Program Teacher and was devoted to “her kids”. She enjoyed every one of them.

Karen enjoyed camping, 4-wheeling, watching NASCAR and NHRA (National Hot Rod Assoc.) racing. She and Rodger attended the Riverton Elks Club where they had many friends.

She is survived by her husband, Rodger Day; sons, Travis (Krista) Day and Jeff (Jeana) Day; grandchildren, Cody Day, Kyle Day, Justyne Day, Jaryd Wells, Ryan Wells, and Kenzy Day; brothers, William John Wicks, Jr. and Franklyn Glen Wicks; sister, Norene Douglas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Glenneta Wicks; and son, Jesse Jake Schroeder.
