Arturo M. Carrillo Mena, 70, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Sage West Hospital in Riverton, Wyoming. A Celebration of his Life will be held 5:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Heritage Hall at the Fremont County Fairgrounds with a potluck meal to follow. Burial and services will be held in Mexico at the Hitzila Zacatecas Cemetery.

Arturo was born on November 20, 1949 in Hitzila Zacatecas, Mexico, son of Felix Carrillo Castaneda and Rosina Mena Rasmos.

Arturo was married to Petra Carrillo for 35 years and shared 6 children before divorcing. He later married Yesenia Rivas Carrillo in Mexico. The couple moved to Riverton 15 years ago to work seasonal from summer – fall where Arturo worked for Wind River Livestock and Riverton Livestock.

He enjoyed spending his time working and riding horses as well as spending time with his family and friends telling jokes and sharing memories.

Mr. Carrillo Mena was a baptized member of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his wife, Yesenia Rivas Carrillo; his three sons, Humberto (Juana) Carrillo, son, Arturo (Melisa) Carrillo, three children, Angel Carrillo, Javier Carrillo, and Valente Carrillo, son, Felix Carrillo; three daughters, Blanca (David Avila) and their children, Mauricio and Jairo Avila, daughter, Alicia (Carlos Barajas) Carrillo and their two children, Liliana and Perla Barajas, daughter, Rosalva (Fransisco Barajas) Carrillo and their two children Daniela and Gabriela Barajas; step-sons, Rangel Cardenas Rivas, Salvador Cardenas Rivas and Jorge Alonso Cardenas Rivas; step-daughters, Esmeralda Cardenas Rivas, Yesenia Cardenas Rivas and Lorena Cardenas Rivas; brother, Abelardo Carrillo; sister, Mercedes Hartman, Elva Eells, Rosa Walter, Anaceli Clevland.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Anselmo Carrillo.
