April Joy Olheiser, age 69, of Riverton, Wyoming, passed away in Riverton surrounded by loved ones, on Monday, November 16th, 2020 at the Sagewest Health Care.

April was born March 28th, 1951 in Maryville, Missouri to Paul and Eleanor Wells, along with her family she moved to Riverton, Wyoming and later West Los Angeles where she graduated from University High School in 1969. She along with her family finally moved back to Riverton Wyoming where she married Leverne Olheiser in March of 1976. Together they had a child, Jakob Olheiser.

April has been an active member of the Riverton community for a total of 48 years. She was the Librarian at St. Margaret's School for years and enjoyed sharing her love of books and reading with the children. She was active in 4-H and helped found the Rivercity Rockers 4-H club and was active with the Fair Board in growing the Fremont County Fair. She stayed active for years as a rabbit judge at fairs across the state of Wyoming. She loved reading, history, music, scrapbooking, traveling and most of all-family (including friends she considered family). She held dear the importance of family staying in touch and not forgetting the stories and relatives that have passed. She was always there for anyone to talk and always willing to help.

She is survived by her husband- Leverne Olheiser (Riverton); Son- Jakob Olheiser and wife Danielle (Riverton); Grandchildren- Jared, Gracie and Jayden Olheiser (Riverton); Sister- Marcia Collins and husband Ron (Riverton); Aunt- Anne Wells (Lander); Sisters-in law- Dora Thomas(Riverton), Carol Judd (Beaverton OR), Cece Pratt (Commerce City Co), Donna Olheiser (Casper); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that she held dear to her heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Eleanor Wells; Sister, Marlene Shephardson and her husband Robert; her good friends Deana and Wade Bulow.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 21, 2020, 1:30pm at St. Margaret’s School Gymnasium to accommodate Social Distancing. Families that live together are asked to sit together and masks are required. Graveside service will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. There will be a Rosary on Friday, November 20, 7:30 at St Margaret’s Gym with the same COVID precautions. Live stream will be available of the service through Facebook via St. Margaret’s Church page.
