On Tuesday, February 16, 2021, Dora Mae Babione (born Kochersperger), passed away unexpectedly at the age of 71 in Riverton, Wyoming. Dora, or Dodie, was born on May 8, 1949 in Alton, Illinois to Ralph and Bessie Kochersperger.

Dora received an Associate of Applied Arts in Business Office Systems from Central Wyoming College in December 1996. She worked as a Direct Support Professional at Community Entry Services for 16 years. She was dedicated to empowering people with disabilities and continued to support them and enrich their lives even after she retired.

For over 30 years, Dora was a very active member of United Baptist Church in Riverton, Wyoming. She was passionate about the Lord and truly lived her life as an example of how God can touch numerous people through the life of one special person. She was known for her kindness, her infectious laugh and the fact that she made everyone feel like they were family. She enjoyed travelling, riding motorcycles, and spending time in nature. She was the first female to be issued a motorcycle license in her hometown of Alton, Illinois.

Dora was preceded in death by her father, Ralph, her mother, Bessie, her sons, Jamie and Paul, and her nephew Terry. She is remembered with love by her older sister, Sharon, her step children, Brandon and Danielle, her nephews Ronnie and Greg, a niece Lisa, several cousins, and all those who she thought of as family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at United Baptist Church in Riverton at 10:30 a.m. Notecards will be provided so Dora’s friends and family can share their most cherished memories. Flowers or donations may be sent to United Baptist Church.
