Melodie Linden-Walker

Mar 6, 1952 - Jun 9, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mrs. Melodie Renee Linden Walker, 69, of Riverton, Wyoming June 9th, 2021.

Born on March 6th, 1952, in Arapahoe, Wyoming, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Kathryn Linden. Melodie was a graduate of Riverton High School and attended the University of Wyoming. Throughout her adult life Melodie had a wide range of occupations including being an ore probe operator at the Lucky Mc Mine in the Gas Hills uranium region of Wyoming, managing Pizza Huts (where legend has it, she invented breadsticks) in Riverton and Lander Wyoming as well as Fort Morgan, Colorado, The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, AZ, SCF Workman’s Comp Insurance in Phoenix, AZ. Melodie spent the last years of her life as a remote operator for Boulder Communications in Phoenix, AZ which afforded her the opportunity to work remotely and return to beautiful Wyoming. She was also able to share her love for humanity by giving back to the community as a volunteer for the Fremont County Alliance for Abused Women.

Melodies’ family and friends were absolutely her number one priority. She was a cherished grandmother to her beautiful seven grandchildren Campbell, Andrew, Matthew, Lucyanne, Lucas, Linden, and Bruce. She was a dedicated mother to her three sons Kiowa Moore, Cody and Zachary Goodell. As well as loyal sister to her siblings Pamela, Kenneth (Lindy), Thomas, and Kathryn (Kitten) and a loving wife to her husband Ron Walker.

Throughout her life no matter the circumstances she wished Joy, Freedom, Growth, Friendship, Courage, Peace, Wisdom, and Harmony for all those that crossed her path. Her smile and kindness will be so dearly missed by all of those blessed to have had Melodie in their lives. As time passes let the joy of her memory fill our hearts and help us get through the sadness of losing such a beautiful soul.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be scheduled for late summer: Saturday, August 21st, 2021.
