Susan Wilson

Aug 2, 1948 - Sep 24, 2022

Susan Caroline Wilson, 74, of Lander, WY, passed peaceably into Heaven at the Help for Health Hospice in Riverton, WY, on September 24, 2022.

Susan was born on August 2, 1948, to Evangeline Marie Klein (Hugentugler) and Raymond Francis Klein in Funiak Springs, FL. During the course of Susan’s childhood, she moved to many places (California, Hawaii, Mexico) with her family.

While living in St. Petersburg FL, as a young adult, Susan met and fell in love with her lifelong companion John “Johnny” F. Walker. After visiting Yellowstone National Park, the couple eventually moved to and settled in Lander.

They were actively involved in the annual Riverton Rendezvous and local craft shows.  Susan and Johnny made a variety of crafts associated with the early pioneer days of the American west, and sold their wares at these venues.

Susan retired from the Wind River Veterinary Service after working there for more than 15 years. People whose pets were brought there for medical and boarding needs came into the loving hands of Susan. Her compassion, love and care for these animals often exceeded owners’ expectations. At one time, she had four orphaned cats living in her home. This was indicative of the the great love and passion she had for animals.

Susan was a woman of great faith who loved her Lord. She faithfully supported an evangelical organization with a monthly donation to spread the gospel to the world. Susan would often say, “I have the Lord inside of me, breath in my lungs and food in my belly. I am blessed.” She was a woman of prayer who prayed daily for her family and country.

Susan was a very precious and meek woman whose presence blessed those who called her friend.

Susan was proceeded in death by her parents and her companion John F. Walker. usan is survived by her brothers Edwin Wilson of St. Petersburg FL, Raymond F. Klein of St. Louis MO, Uncle George Seper of St. Louis, MO, and niece Christine M. Vogt of St. Louis, MO.

In accordance with Susan’s wishes, there will be no services held.
