W. Merle Jepson

W. Merle Jepson, 83, fell asleep in death Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the Help for Health Hospice Home following a battle with Parkinson’s disease and Dementia.  Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.

 

Merle was born on December 10, 1939 in Midwest, Wyoming, the youngest child of Wilma ad Elmer Jepson of Casper, WY.  He lived in Wyoming all his life, graduating from Natrona County High School in 1958.  Merle married Marla Carpenter, his high school sweetheart and love of his life on September 6, 1958.  Merle worked in Industrial and Automotive sales in Casper and moved to Riverton in 1973 as manager of Industrial Distributors.  When that business closed in Riverton in 1983, he transferred back to Casper, eventually retiring and moving back to Riverton in 2006.

 

Merle was actively involved in his faith as on of Jehovah’s Witnesses, which was something he enjoyed telling others about the Bible and his hope for a better future.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding his 4-wheeler all over the state.

 

Merle is survived by his wife, Marla Jepson; five children, Brent (Shane) Jepson of Powell, WY, Kim (Tim) Smith of Riverton, WY, Kent (Phoebe) Jepson of Oklahoma, Chris (Christine) Jepson of Riverton, WY and Dale Jepson of Casper; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Survivors also include his sister, Merna Boatman and a brother, Maurice Jepson.
