Steven H. Lemenager

No services will be held for Steven H. Lemenager, 83, who passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 in Riverton, Wyoming.  Cremation has taken place under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.

 

Steven Hamilton Lemenager was born on April 18, 1939, son of Alvin H. and Margerey (McCullough) Lemenager in Yuba City, California.  He grew up in Sutter, California and spent the majority of his life living in California. 

 

On November 2, 1958, Steve married Virginia Worley and were married for 32 years.  On October 18, 2017, Steve married Dorothy Ziegenmeyer in Yuba City, California.  Shortly after their wedding, the couple moved to Riverton, Wyoming to enjoy their retirement near the mountains.  Hunting and fishing were a couple of Steve’s favorite outdoor activities.

 

For most of Steve’s life he farmed but also spent many years driving logging trucks and mastered the art of welding.  He took much pleasure in the NASCAR world, developing many friendships while working on and sometimes driving the cars outside of the race.  Steve invested his spare time in rebuilding and flying airplanes.

 

Mr. Lemenager was a member of the NRA and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

 

Survivors include his sons, William and Betty Lemenager and David and LaVetta Lemenager; daughter, Djuana and Tracy White; brother, Barry Lemenager; grandchildren, Casey and Lani Lemenager, Brittney Lemenager, Derik White, Merle and Kimberly Ransom and Charlett and Joseph Stout; great grandchildren, Kaia Lemenager, Kaylee Lemenager, Taylor Lemenager and Zachary and Jamie Ransom; great, great grandchild Joey Ransom.

 

Mr. Lemenager was preceded in death by his parents; wives; sister, Linda McCormick.
