Funeral services for Kodah Ryley Warren, 19, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 23, 2023 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at YellowCalf Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Heritage Hall at the Fremont County Fairgrounds with a wake to follow.
Mr. Warren passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 in Lander, Wyoming.
Kodah Ryley Warren was born on August 25, 2003, son of Phillip J. Warren and Bendetta R. Whiteplume in Riverton, Wyoming. He grew up on the Wind River Reservation and graduated from St. Stephen’s Indian High School with the class of 2021.
Kodah was baptized into the Catholic Faith.
He worked at the Lander Museum as a groundkeeper and also a roustabout on the oil rigs.
Kodah enjoyed being outside working, playing basketball, cruising and listening to music and gambling. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his mother, Bendetta Whiteplume and her significant other, Steve Lopez; father, P.J. Warren and his significant other, Kateri Howtopat; Kodah’s significant other, Jessea McGill and their son, Kylo Anthony Warren; and brothers, Corbin Charles Warren and Trinidad Jerome Warren.
