Levi Warren, 51, of Riverton, Wyoming passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. A wake will be at Eagle Hall at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church on Friday, November 17, 2023 starting at 7:00 pm. A Traditional Native American Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Yellowcalf Cemetery.

 

Levi Warren was born January 9, 1972 in Riverton, Wyoming to Joseph Warren and Lucy Arthur. He grew up on the Wind River Reservation and graduated from St. Stephens High School with the class of 1990.

 

He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He believed and practiced in the traditional ways of the Northern Arapaho. He was a Sun Dancer.

 

He moved around to many different places working in construction, recycling, and spent many years as an adult caretaker for handicap individuals.

 

Levi loved music and it was a big part of his life. He always put family first and loved going with them out to eat as well as fishing, camping, swimming, and going to amusement parks. He enjoyed learning how to rehab homes and play softball.

 

He is survived by his son, Thunder Rey Franco-Warren; daughter, Venisia “Tussie” Franco-Warren; grandchildren, Jaelisia Sanchez and Kalisia Tyler; sister, Marlena Bad Yellowhair; brothers, Medric Moss, Mark, C’Hair, and Aloysius C’Hair; and the mother of his children, Abrilia Franco.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Warren and Lucy Arthur; brother, Jerome Warren; and sisters, Naomi Yellowhair, Yvonne Yellowhair, and Aleta Yellowhair.
