Branden “Brando” SunRhodes, 31, of Arapahoe, Wyoming passed away at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming on Thursday, December 7, 2023. A rosary followed by the wake will be 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Eagle Hall in St. Stephens, Wyoming. The funeral will be 10:00 am on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church followed by burial at Arapaho Catholic Cemetery.

 

Branden Lee SunRhodes was born December 13, 1991 in Riverton, Wyoming to Baudelio Cano Gutierrez, Jr. and Teresa Leah SunRhodes.  He grew up and spent his entire life on the Wind River Reservation. 

 

He was a member of the Native American Church. He was involved in the Native American ceremonies as a Gourd Dancer and singer for the Peyote Ceremony.

 

Brando enjoyed being with family and friends, playing basketball, drawing, and rapping.  He was loved by everyone and he loved everyone.

 

He is survived by his mother, Teresa SunRhodes; grandfather, Ernest Joseph SunRhodes, Jr.; brother, Whitecloud Ray SunRhodes; and sisters, Janell Brenna SunRhodes, Juanita Gutierrez, Branelle Gutierrez, and Rosalina Littleshield Uncle; Mitchel Jude Warren,II.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Baudelio Gutierres; brothers, Angelo Gutierrez, and Baudelio Gutierrez, III; sister, Brandy Lynn SunRhodes; grandmother, Mary Rose YellowBear SunRhodes; grandfather, Baudelio Guiterrez; grandmother, Rachael Brown; brother, Shawn E. Armajo; great grandmother, Phillip and Mary Elizbeth Brown-Yellowbear-Bear; Calvin Yellowbear, Sr., Ernest Joseph and Ruth SunRhodes, Sr., uncle, Ernest J. SunRhodes, III; Ruth SunRhodes; aunt, Lorna SunRhodes; uncle, Weldon Moss; aunt, Tracy Brown; brother, Taylor Wade Yellowbear; brother, Wilford “Sonny” Hill, III; and grandpa, Phillip Bear.
