Maurice D. Duran, 30, passed away in Alburquerque, New Mexico on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. A rosary will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Great Plain Hall followed by a wake at Eagle Hall. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at Spoonhunter Cemetery.
Maurice Dillon Duran was born on April 15, 1993 in Pineridge, South Dakota to Marshall Grant Duran and Nancy Jane Spoonhunter. He grew up in the Riverton, Wyoming area. As an adult he traveled around the country.
He was baptized into the Catholic faith.
Maurice enjoyed movies, family, walking, listening to music, and meditating.
He is survived by his brothers, Adam Spoonhunter, Nano Spoonhunter, Shane Spoonhunter, Quavin Spoonhunter, and Quinn Duran; and sisters, Byrdie Spoonhunter and Connie Standing Elk.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
