Funeral services for Robert James Antelope, 36, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 18, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at Armour Family Cemetery.  A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 374 Ethete Road with a wake to follow.

 

Mr. Antelope passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born September 29, 1987 in Lander, Wyoming to Doyle Bell and Brenda Antelope. He grew up and spent his entire life in Ethete, Wyoming with a brief stay in Tacoma, Washinton. He went to elementary and high school at Wyoming Indian High School.

 

He worked at the Wind River Casino with the count team in the vault.

 

He Believe in the Native American Ways.

 

Robert played bass guitar, loved music and playing online games with his bro’s. He enjoyed reading, spending time with family, especially his grandma Rose Marie and companion Miki Washakie. Robert also was the voice of Thumper, speaking the Arapaho language in the movie Walt Disney Bambi in 1994.

 

He is survived by his companion, Miki Washakie; Grandparents, Rose Brown and Gloria Antelope; brothers, Wayne Perry, Myron Perry, Kelly Perry, Omar Tillman, JJ, and Alton Quiver; sisters, Juna Antelope, Mari Kay, Candace BaldEagle, Janie Antelope and Maleana Armour; Uncles, Byron Shavehead, Terry Shavehead, Lawrence Bell, Lionel Bell, and David C’Hair; Aunts, Sandra Brown, Michelle Wheeler, Cheryl Wheeler, Rhonda McCabe, Debra Antelope, Lori Antelope, Delores Cadotte, Nora Tabaho and Camille Uncoln

 

He was preceded in death by parents, Brenda Antelope and Doyle Bell; grandmothers, Virginia Antelope, Mary Antelope, Rina Little and Jeanette Bell; grandfathers, Patton L. Brown, Wayne Antelope and Teddy Bell; Brother, Byron C’Hair.
