Dorothy I. Behrends, 77, of Riverton, Wyoming passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the Help for Health Hospice Home. A Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the Davis Funeral Home in Riverton.
Dorothy Irene Good was born on September 6, 1946 to her loving parents Raymond Good and Helen (Johnson) Good. Dorothy and her older sister Sharon spent their early childhood years having fun together in the countryside around Albin and Golden Prairie, Wyoming. For middle school Dorothy went to the big town of Pine Bluffs. There she met her husband to be, Bill Behrends.
Dorothy and Bill shared their first kiss on stage during the play their Junior year of high school. They were married in Albin, Wy on December 17, 1967.
Dorothy and Bill became the proud parents of Heather Lynne in 1970 and Aaron Michael in 1973. Due to Bill’s career in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, they raised their family in beautiful parts of our nation including Worland, WY; Yuma, AZ; Tok, AL; and Hermiston, OR.
Dorothy loved being a wife and Mom. She was known for her service to her church and community, her dedication to her kids, and love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Helen.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Behrends; her devoted sister, Sharon Wiseman; her incredible children, Heather (Behrends) and her husband, Jason Haynes and Aaron and his wife, Sara Behrends; and her spoiled and beloved grandchildren, Paul Behrends, Emmalynne (Haynes) Schneider, Miranda Behrends, David Haynes, Olivia Behrends, Timothy Haynes, and Sonya Behrends.
