Phillip Stanley ‘Hombre’ Hendrickson Jr., 61, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023 at his home in Arapahoe, Wyoming. A wake will begin at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2023 at 6 Old Man Circle at Ben Gay Heights in Arapahoe, WY.  A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Davis Funeral Home in Riverton, WY with a feast to follow at Great Plains Hall.  Interment will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.

 

Phillip was born on September 17, 1962 in Seattle, WA to Phillip and Lillian (Amos) Hendrickson.  Phillip grew up with his big brother Kenneth ‘Butch” Trosper. 

 

He joined the United States Marine Corps and served from 1984 until 1987. His time in the Marines found him a 4X rifle expert, ribbon for good conduct, ribbon for sea service deployment, and a ribbon for meritorious service.  His ranking was Private Lance Corporal.  Following his service, Phillip moved to Alaska where he worked as a fisherman and lived for 20 years before returning home to Riverton, WY in 2007.  He has work for the Northern Arapaho Tribe since 2008.

 

Phillip has two sons, Phillip, III and Jimmy and two daughters, Jolene and Connie.

 

A big accomplishment for Phillip was graduating from Central Wyoming College in 2022.

 

Phillip was a Sundancer, loved to drive, hunt with his nephews and grandson, loved the Seattle Seahawks, Auntie Caroline’s frybread, her cooking and wisdom.

 

Phillip is survived by his Dad, Phillip; sons, Phillip and Jimmy; daughters, Jolene and Connie; Nephews, Kyle, Bert, Chris, Jacob; Nieces, Chelsea, Hope, Janell, Savannah, Carrie, Tomica, Lisa, Jaime;  Traditional grandchildren, Sergio, Ryan, Juanito, Lilly, Natvin, Wyatt, Shawn, Carrie, Sayyora, Chris, Wakiza and Skyy; brothers, Eric, Art, Edlore, Harold, Virgil, Raymond and Bobby; sisters, Verdell and Ramona; aunts, Caroline, Alice, Judy, and Betty Jean.

 

He is preceded in death by mother, Lillian; sisters, Geraldine, Aurelia; brothers, William, Kenneth “Butch” William; nephews, Jevon and Ronald; granddaughter, Moniqua, Shaina and Ronnie Jo; grandfathers, Orlo Amos and Kay Hendrickson; grandmothers, Bernice and Mary.
