Wanda O. Grose died on Wednesday morning, Jan. 13, 2010, at Wind River Healthcare in Riverton. She was 89.
Cremation has taken place and her cremated remains will be inurned with those of her late husband at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton.
Wanda Opal Phipps was born in Green Castle, Mo., on May 12, 1920, the daughter of Gale and Chloe (Cranell) Phipps. She was the oldest child in the family.
She married Wilbert "Web" Grose on June 6, 1962, and they came to Riverton in 1972.
Mrs. Grose was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Riverton.
She helped her husband on the family sheep ranch north of Riverton and later worked as a waitress at JBs.
Her friends said lavender was her favorite color and her favorite flower was the rose.
Survivors include, two nieces in Colorado; good friends, Rhonda Meade and Pastor Richard Morgan.
Mrs. Grose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in November 1990, five sisters, and two brothers.
