Charlene F. Scullion

Charlene F. Scullion of Riverton died at the Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton late Saturday morning, May 15, 2010, at the age of 81.

At her request no services will be held and her cremated remains will be buried next to her husband, Robert Scullion.

Charlene Bechtol was born in Midwest on July 31, 1928, the daughter of Charles and Eva (Shapey) Bechtol.

She grew up in Midwest and Casper and was graduated from Natrona County High School. In January of 1946, she married Robert E. Scullion in Casper. She raised her family in Casper after her husband died in 1971. She lived in Craig, Colo., until moving to Riverton several years ago.

Mrs. Scullion worked as a secretary in the insurance industry going to work in the late 60s, first in real estate in Casper and then in the insurance field for Mofat Insurance in Craig, Colo., in the 70s.

Her family said Mrs. Scullion enjoyed playing solitaire on the computer and while raising her family they enjoyed camping, pack trip, and fishing in the Lander area. They said she enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren after being a homemaker while raising her own family.

Survivors include three sons, William "Bill" Scullion and wife Monica of Missoula, Mont., Michael "Mike" Scullion and wife Marsha of Craig, Colo., and Joseph "Joe" Scullion and wife Tammy of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Sharon Morrison and husband Jay of Dubois, and Terri Watson of Riverton; 14 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles "Chuck" Bechtol and his wife Kay of Denver, and Stanley Bechtol of Casper; one sister, Shirley Dolan and husband Clyde of Casper.

She was preceded in death by her husband in February of 1971; her parents, and great granddaughter, Zoey Richardson.
