On Saturday, February 8, 2025 Jack was called home to his final hunting ground.  Services for Jack Martinez will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025 at  the Reach Foundation, 622 North 8th Street West, Riverton, Wyoming.

 

Jack Francis Martinez, known to many as “Uncle Jack" was born in Shoshoni, Wyoming to Maria Lovatto and Maclovia Martinez Sr. on September 16, 1944.  He was the youngest of seven siblings. 

 

Jack was a skilled tradesman in construction, specializing in roofing.  Like many construction jobs, he moved where there was work.  This allowed him to visit and live in many states including Utah, Nevada, California, Washington, Texas, Colorado and eventually back to Riverton. He opened his own roofing company called “Uncle Jack’s Roofing” and helped with property maintenance in Cliffview Mobile Home Park where he resided. 

 

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and making chili from the fruits of his garden. 

 

He is survived by his two sons, John Martinez (s. Bobbi Griffin- Martinez) and Patrick Martinez; grandchildren Ryan Martinez (s. Beth Martinez), Joshua Martinez (s. Brooklin Martinez), Sarah Wilson (s. Brandon Wilson), Tyler Griffin and Chase Griffin; 10 great- grandchildren Hannah Martinez, Jewell Martinez, Anthony Martinez, Cora Martinez, Oliver Wilson, Ian Wilson, Kaleb Sanchez, Noah Sanchez, Samantha Sanchez and Brieanna Sanchez as well as many nieces and nephews whom are spread through out the country. 

 

Jack will be missed by all.
