Jill Pendergraft “Grandma Jill”
July 9, 1963 – May 5, 2025
Jill Pendergraft, lovingly known as “Grandma Jill,” passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Wyoming Medical Banner Health in Casper, Wyoming, surrounded by her family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Davis Funeral Home in Riverton. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Riverton Country Club
Jill was born on July 9, 1963, in Pierre, South Dakota, to Phyllis Iverson- Kornder. She grew up and attended schools in Riverton, Wyoming. On April 19, 1980, she married the love of her life, Chris Pendergraft, in Riverton. Together they built a life centered on family, love, and lasting memories.
Jill worked as a Special Education Para for School District 25 before becoming a full-time homemaker—a role she embraced wholeheartedly. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and cherished moments with her many friends.
An outdoor enthusiast, Jill enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and relaxing at the family cabin. She also loved boating in Lake Havasu and cooking—especially breakfast at the cabin and her famous traditional body cakes at Christmas. She was known for her impressive pig collection, which included figurines, artwork, and stuffed animals.
Jill was never seen without her cute visors, stylish golf skirts, and fancy cowboy boots. Her hair and makeup were always done to perfection, and she took pride in looking her best. More than anything, she was kind, generous, and always willing to help others. Her life was beautifully centered around her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and beloved dogs.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Chris Pendergraft; daughters, Amber Pendergraft-Ellison and Amanda Pendergraft (fiancé, Michael Sawyer); grandchildren, Jackson Ellison, Trenton Ellison, and Braedyn Mosbrucker; brother, John Kornder; sisters, Cherrie Crippen, Jeanne Reece, Laurie Pfarr, Cody Doyle, and Margaret Graham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Grandma Phyllis Kornder; brothers, Bernie Kornder and Steve Kornder; and sister, Judy Fielder.
Jill will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love and joy she brought to everyone around her.
