Lucille May Hood

Lucille May Hood passed away on May 14, 2025, at Westward Heights Care Center in Lander, Wyoming, at the age of 72.
She was born on May 12, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, to Carl Hood and Vivian (Lee) Hood. Lucille was baptized into the Catholic Faith and graduated from Lakewood High School in Denver.
Lucille spent most of her life in Commerce City, Colorado, where she worked as a bartender at VFW Post 4444 and the Eagles Club. She was an active member and volunteer with the VFW Post 4444 Auxiliary, serving as a cook and dedicated supporter. In 2010, she moved to Riverton, Wyoming, to be closer to her mother.
She had a vibrant personality and a passion for racing, driving dirt track modified, late model, and figure-eight cars weekly. Lucille loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially taking family trips to the mountains. She was also a strong advocate for children with cancer, offering support and promoting donations on their behalf.
Lucille is survived by her sons, Tony Hood and wife, Diane, of Riverton, and Gary Lindley and wife, Rhonda, of Shoshoni; grandchildren, Joseph McLeod, Marissa Lindley, Carissa Lindley, Falisity Lindley, Jeremy Lane, Amanda Lane, Jasmine Rettinghouse, Zaylee Lane, and Zylance Lane; great-grandchildren, Kendrick Mills, Ophelia Lewis, Izzyana Lindley, Jeremy Lane Jr., Dalila Lane, Kale Lane, Kristian Lane, Zabby Stuart, Zoriah Stuart, Asher Rettinghouse, Memphis Rettinghouse, and Amillia Hood; brothers, Louis Hood of Riverton and Mike Hood of Colorado; and her goddaughter, Ella Hood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Vivian Hood; husband, George Wright; brothers, Lonnie Shrum and Ronnie Hood; and niece, Pam Marcus.
A family service will be held at a later date in Colorado.
