Funeral services for Austin D. "Noods" Goggles of St. Stephen's are at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, at Blue Sky Hall at Ethete. Interment follows at the Friday Cemetery at Ethete. A rosary and wake begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 18, at the family home, 708 1/2 Rendezvous Road, on the Wind River Reservation.

Mr. Goggles died at Riverton Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, March 15, 2011. He was 28.

Austin Davis Goggle was born in Lander on June 24, 1982, the son of Henry Goggles, Sr, and Janice (Yellowplume) Goggles He was a member of the Arapaho Tribe and his Indian name was Nii'ei'hii.

He was a life-long resident of the Wind River Reservation and was graduated from Wyoming Indian High School with the Class of 2001.

Mr. Goggles was a derrick hand for Wrangler Well Service.

He was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church and the Native American Church.

His family said he enjoyed roping, riding horses, leatherwork, braiding, outdoor activities, had a passion for reading, with "Jungle Book" as his favorite movie. The family said he had a good work ethic, starting work for the Arapaho Ranch at the age of 14 and working for other outfits throughout the state.

Survivors include, grandmothers, Laverne Hutchinson, Julia Whiteman, Mildred and Gene Goggles, Caroline Goggles, Verna Thunder, Theresa and Lawrence Wildcat of Hobema, Canada, Ruth Goodblanket of Clinton, Okla.; aunts, Cordelia Yellowplume and family, Cecelie Armstrong and family, Kyran Yellowbear and family, Clarina Yellowplume and family, Valene Revere; uncles, Cletus Yellowplume, Bobby Joe Goggles and wife Ruth, Sandy and Donna Friday, Pat Underwood and Marla Deale; nieces, Michaun and Rowan Yellowplume, Payton Goggles, Lydia Goggles; nephews, Cameron DaleYellowplume, and Shaun Tabaha; extended families of Goggles, Friday, Yellowplume and Quiver; a daughter, Shye Augustina Goggles; mother, Janice (Yellowplume) Goggles; brothers, Lloyd, Henry "Bob," and Whitey Goggles, Forrest Whiteman and wife Jody, Wesley Jr., and Darrell Underwood, and Mike Yellowplume; sisters, Hetty Tabaha and husband Ben, Challlis Brown, Kari Black, Merissa Shakespeare, Tristan Yellowplume, and Maryrose Goggles; grandparents, Vernon and Rhonda Bullcoming, and Inez Wilson of Lame Deer, Mont.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Goggles, Sr.; paternal grandparents,Lloyd and Christine Goggles; maternal grandparents, Royce and Hattie (Quiver) Yellowplume; brothers, Cameron David Goggles and Shye David Miller.
