Funeral services for Helen H. Tilley of Riverton are at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 22, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton. The Rev. Linda Norris of the United Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Private interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton.

Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tilley died at the Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton on Monday, April 18, 2011, at the age of 85.

Helen Head Story was born in Pocasset, Okla., on June 2, 1925, the daughter of Reggie Robert Story and Catherine (Lynch) Story. She received her advanced education from the University of Oklahoma and Peabody College.

On Sept. 19, 1959, she married Vernon Forrest Tilley, who preceded her in death last May.

Mrs. Tilley was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Riverton and the Republic Women's Association.

Mrs. Tilley was a Registered Nurse who worked in many areas of the nursing profession, including with the Public Health Service.

Her family said she enjoyed sewing, primarily making quilts. She also enjoyed campaigning for Republican candidates, collected arrowheads, swimming, and water skiing.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathryn Hockley and her husband Dennis, and Robbie Niesen and husband Robert; four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert W. Head; her second husband, Vernon Tilley; her parents; three brothers; a daughter, Judy Befus, and a grandson, Brian Befus.

Memorials may be made to the Help for Health Hospice Home, in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
