Victoria M. (Moss) Friday died at her home near Arapahoe on Friday morning, May 27, 2011. She was 58. Services are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, May 31, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church south of Riverton. Burial will be held in the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery at St. Stephen's. The Rev. Father John offciating. A rosary will be held 7:00 p.m. at St. Stephens Catholic Church Monday evening, May 30, with a wake following at her home, 1097 17 Mile Road. Victoria Mary Moss was born at Fort Washakie on Oct. 4, 1952, the daughter of Herman J. Moss, Sr., and Eileen (Antelope) Moss. She attended school at St. Stephen's, Arapahoe, and was graduated from Lander Valley High School with the Class of 1971. She went on to business college at the San Diego Training Center. She married Duane Friday on May 16, 1977, at St. Michael's Mission at Ethete. Mrs. Friday was a homemaker, beadworker engaged in arts and crafts sales, teacher, and supervisor at the Wind River Casino. A life-long resident of the Wind River Indian Reservation, she had worked for Mountain Bell, the Arapaho Ranch, Arapahoe School, and the Wind River Casino. She was of the Catholic faith and participated in traditional Arapaho ceremonies. Mrs. Friday was a Gold Star Sister and member of the Joe and Eileen Moss Rodeo. Her family said her interests included beadwork, rodeo, going to the casino, spending time with her grandchildren, and watching the Food Channel on television. Survivors include her husband, Duane Friday of Arapahoe; son, Solo Friday of Arapahoe; daughters, Iva Redman of Arapahoe and spouse Michael Redman, Jolene Friday of Riverton and Spouse Lloyd Goggles, Lowayne Friday of Arapahoe, Colleen Friday of Lander and her companion, Adrienne Vetter, and Christina Friday of Okinawa, Japan; grandchildren, Michaela Redman, Angel Redman, Elk Redman, Payton Goggles, Dale Yellowplume, and Rowan Yellowplume; brothers, Richard Ortiz and wife Bobbie, Danna Ortiz, Leonard Moss and wife Alice, Medrick Moss, Donald Moss and wife Linda, Alonzo Moss of Ethete, and Nelson Moss and wife Emma of Ethete; sisters, Ursula Aragon and husband Robert Aragon, Sr., of Ethete, Maxine Moss of Arapahoe, Lavina Bell of Riverton, Maxine Trosper of Ethete, Georgianna Crawford of Riverton, Susanna Oldman of Ethete, Gloria Wheeler and husband Larry of Ethete, Anita Carrier of Ethete, and Rosella Moss of Ethete. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Alonzo and Victoria Moss and Orlando and Mary Antelope; her parents, Joe and Eileen Moss; brothers, Kendall Moss, Weldon Dale Moss, Herman "Joe-Joe" Moss, Jr., and Chester Moss; sisters, Julie Brown, Delores Moss, Tekawitha SunRhodes, and Eileen C'Bearing; granddaughter, Loreta Brown; nephews, Joey Aragon and Patrick Moss; nieces, Katherine and Beatrice SunRhodes; numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
