Frank M. Andrews of Riverton died on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at the Wind River Healthcare Center in Riverton. He was 84. Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, at the United Methodist Church of Riverton. The Rev. Mark Thurman officiated. Burial follows at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton. Frank Milton Andrews, Jr., was born on July 28, 1926, in Shoshoni to Frank and Viola (Heyer) Andrews. The family lived in San Diego, Calif., for several years where the elder Mr. Andrews had a Carmel Corn Shop before returning to Shoshoni and Riverton. He was graduated from the Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Mo., in 1944 and he immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he was a nose gunner on a PBM in Naval Aviation. In 1949, he was graduated from the University of Wyoming with a B.S. degree in geology, working for the USGS for a couple of years before going to business school in Denver, Colo., and joining his father in the Andrews Insurance Agency. Mr. Andrews married Beverly Hoel in Denver on Aug. 19, 1950. The couple moved to Riverton in 1951 where three children were born. In 1959, the family moved to Laramie where Mr. Andrews enrolled in law school, receiving his law degree in 1962. The family returned to Riverton where their fourth child was born and he practiced law until 2002. Mr. Andrews was interested in business development for Riverton and, with Roy Peck, joined with local businessmen to form Wind River Development. Described by his family as an enthusiastic golfer, Mr. Andrews was a charter member of the Riverton Country Club and belonged to the Masonic Lodge, Shrine, B.P.O. Elks Lodge, and the American Legion. His family said he enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, downhill snow skiing, water skiing, boating, and hunting. Mr. Andrews is survived by his wife, Beverly of Riverton; daughters, Katherine Neuman and husband Tom, Kristine Anderson, Meg Austin and husband Ed; son, Ed and wife Denise; grandchildren, Riley Neuman and wife Nicole, Ayrolyn Keady and husband Kevin, Abigayil Anderson, and John Neuman, Erick Andrews, and Ryan Andrews; two great grandchildren, Avary and Aiden Neuman; two step granddaughters and their husbands, and three step-great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to the Help for Health, 716 College View Drive, Suite B, or the United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice, in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
