Meyer, Fritz
Connie and family,
My sincere condolences to all of you for your loss. I'm still in disbelief. Our family dearly loved Fritz! His love for his family, friends and the outdoors was admired by so many. Dubois is a sad place since losing such a fine man. He also held a special place in my family's hearts, especially Cody and Bill. We were all blessed to have shared heart warming moments and stories with him . Your family is in our loving thoughts and our prayers.
Geralynn Brown - 12/20/2025Connie,
So sorry to hear of Fritz's passing. I pray the Lord will comfort you that he will give you grace and couraged to walk through this season. Amy and I often tell the story of how you and Fritz helped us when we broke down in Dubois. We were broke, barely having enough fuel to get to Jackson. You guys put us up Fritz repaired our truck and sent us on our way. It was truly a blessing. Thank you for your kindness. The Lord bless you and keep you.

With great sadness I express my condolences.
Fritz was a great person that I absolutely loved being around. He and Connie were so generous to open up their home to me when I was in town. I am so thankful to have gotten to know and spend time with him.
If there is ever anything I could do to help his family in any way, it would be such an honor.
My Sincere Condolences.

Uncle Fritz's we love you always till we meet again 🙏🏽
Mike Winters & Armie Villarreal - 12/22/2025Fritz was a great hunter and teacher, as well as a good friend. He took a bunch of "rookie" elk hunters from Minnesota, and taught them how to hunt elk in Wyoming.
Connie and family, I am so sorry for your loss.
Wyoming has lost a great hunter, teacher husband, father and friend to all who were lucky enough to have known him.

Kelly and Connie,
I have great memories due to my purchase of Fritz hangar at the airport to straighten out deed overlap problems. That lead to many adventures in my life and my respect and admiration of you as I fitted into my retirement life in Dubois. I look forward to this summers memorial at my cousin Donnies pack horse races. See you then!!!!
Love! Bill S.
william a sedlacek - 12/22/2025Fritz was one of my favorite people in Dubois, always interesting and fun to talk with.
Marty Baum - 12/23/2025All of the Buffalo SHAVLIK'S send our sincere condolences to the Meyer's family. We have lots of wonderful memories made. One special time was when Craig and Greg graduated from HS. Gary had worked for Rollie Brown at the Wasson Creek camp and we negotiated with Connie and Fritz to let Gary and the boys and a few others go to the camp. They agreed and said if they were willing to help set up the camp for that season we could get a reduced rate. Sooo they went and had a wonderful time. Fritz certainly leaves a wonderful legacy with his family and friends and involvement in the community of Dubois... he will be remembered.

The days I was able to spend hunting with Fritz are some of my favorite memories and I still retell many of his stories to my friends whether it was staring down a grizzly with nothing but a bag of traps or how to trap wolves or coyotes.I am fortunate to have known you both

Didn't know him well , but he has a great daughter and son in law which speaks well of his character. RIP Frritz
Dave Bundy - 12/23/2025The best of the best and the best of the West. Fritz was as good as it gets for a person carving their own slice & providing, while fully supporting those who chase and shared his dream.
Not hearing his passion for the latest & next hunt or simply enjoying his knowledge-- a tremendous loss.
Deepest condolences to his family. A man that made this community a better place moving on far too soon.

My deepest condolences go out to you and your family.
I'll always remember my visit to your Wyoming home so many years ago. Growing up on the farm in Wisconsin, I was often the victim of cousin Fritz's pranks. All in good fun, although likely more for him than me!
Hugs to you,
Dan

Always hard to say good by and I'm usually one of the last to send condolences. I've known Fritz since he and Connie first moved to Dubois. Over the years I've enjoyed hunting and fishing with him as well as serving on the board of the Wild Sheep Foundation for many years. Dubois became a better community because of the Meyer's . RIP my friend

We went to country school together and all the same church. I think from young on he was destined to go out West and follow his passion. Condolences to all of you in Reedsburg and Wyoming.
