To my sweet mom, Wishing we had more time to have our pedicures, shopping, lunches, weenie roast, fishing, and the list continues. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. I will miss you dearly and hope you know how much you were loved. Love your daughter, Melissa

Time passes so quickly and before I know it, it's been 27 years. Unbelievable. Janis, you were a dear friend to my family growing up. I remember playing in the back bedroom and hearing a lot of laughter coming from the kitchen. I remember slumber parties at your house. I remember your hugs. Times with our families at the beach are favorite memories. My mother's pictures keep them fresh in my mind. Receiving the news from Melissa caught all of us off guard. It's shocking to hear that kind of news, you were too young. Being apart, time doesn't seem to pass.

Stephen, Steve and Melissa, we are so sorry for your loss. Janis will forever be remembered, as she always has been, as one of my favorite moms. Part of a trio of parents who, for seven years, gave six Air Force brats a family away from home. With heartfelt sympathy and many special prayers, she'll live on through you now. Words can't make it easier. I know. Still, please know that you are being thought of everyday, with love, Stephanie (Malnack) Tastad
