Stephensen, Erna Mae

To the family of Erna:

Erna has been one of my very best friends for fifty years having worked with her in the Clerk of Courts office. I am so so sorry to hear of her death.

I am so sorry for your loss. May the outpouring of sympathy, the kind acts of friends and strangers, as well as your memories give you comfort to help you endure the days ahead. The Bible also offers comfort. “For God is near to those broken at heart. “ Ps 34:17,18. Our Creator promises that there will soon be a time when “death will be no more.” Revelation 21:4.

Erna was a gem. I remember her with such fondness; always had a smile when you passed the window of the Clerk's office. She taught people to be good workers by her example. I remember that wonderful Thunderbird of hers and how proud she was of that car. Classy lady! She was well loved and respected and will be missed.

I knew Erna in the early 80s when I lived in Lander. I remember her in aerobics classes and always admired her. She was a classy and very kind lady. I too remember her Thunderbird. My stepfather sold it to her and she always reminded me of that. I loved her independence and positive attitude. What a wonderful impact she made upon Lander and greater Fremont County!

Please accept my condolences. May you rely on the God of all comfort during this difficult time. He is near to those broken at heart and those crushed in spirit he saves (Psalm 34:18) He lovingly provides us with the hope of seeing our loved ones again by means of the resurrection (John 5:28,29) We can trust this promise because it is impossible for God to lie (Hebrew 6:18)May this message bring you comfort and hope.
