Rita Smock

Smock, Rita

Rita was a generous person. I appreciated her help in making hats for the babies born at Riverton Memorial Hospital. Each of her hats was unique and brought smiles to many new parents and grandparents, especially the special hat she created for the New Year's baby. Rita's talents were appreciated and the hats will be treasured by the families who received them.

God's blessing to you and your family, as I know you will miss this special lady.

Charles,

So terribly sorry to hear of Rita's passing. I only learned of her diagnosis late last week and tried to make contact, but wasn't sure where you were. As you probably know, we're in the midst of packing to move (just a few days away now), and things are fairly hectic around here. I'm sorry I was unable to say goodbye. Please know that you're in our prayers for your loss,

Pastor Mark and Judy Thurman.

To the family of Rita,
I've had the privilege of meeting Rita a few years back, spent time talking with her, well more like listening, Rita loved to talk and she spoke a lot about John or as I call him, Johnny. We went to the casino, for a walk and was served beautiful meals (with the help of Charley, of course) and with such presentation, using matching cloth napkins and place mats. Then at Christmas, we would receive a package, full of homemade cookies, fudge, peanut brittle and chex mex snack, too much for a few people to finish. We spoke a few times on the phone when Johnny would call while I was present. Rita was full of life. She ran circles around me. I couldn't keep up. It's difficult to know that Rita passed at such a young age, she will be missed. May she rest in peace, be with her maker and eternity.
With sympathy at this time,
Andrea Gera
