McBride, William "Bill"

My thoughts and prayers go out to Bill's Family. He was such a great man and so full of stories and I loved his laugh. He was so full of life all the time. Never a dull moment. You will be missed Bill, Rest in Peace hon. Love Polly

I met Bill when I was 13 years old, more than 50 years ago. I still have not met anyone like him. I have always been inspired by his ability to learn, make new things, take on outrageous projects and succeed. Of course, the best thing about Bill was that he was great company. His intelligence was matched by his sharp wit and he always had some important insight, regardless of the topic. When one thinks of a renaissance man, you have to include Bill. Whether it was a mountain man event or a San Francisco ballet, he would feel at home. I feel very fortunate to have known him.
