Edward 'Gayle' Currah

Currah, Edward "Gayle"

Gayle was "one of a kind." I had the utmost respect for the man he was and how he represented himself. Loved hearing the stories about my Dad's "pool shooting." Also enjoyed hearing Gayle talking about dancing with my Grandmother Lena Howard. He will be missed. My condolences to all of his family.

On behalf of both Mary Ann and I we extend our sincere condolences to everyone in the family. Among his many other attributes Gayle was a great father and grandfather and your sorrow has to be deep.

This actually also just blows a big whole in Shoshoni to us. We can't remember a time Gayle wasn't there. Nor remember a time Gayle wasn't laughing and joking. We are missing that already.

Also our compliments on the obituary. Gayle's life deserved to be chronicled.

We hope and pray you heal quickly.

My deepest condolences to the Currah family.
Gayle was a remarkable man and a big plus for our world.
I will forever remember his great sense of humor and kind “get it done” attitude in life.
He will be deeply missed.

I treasure the time spent with Gayle at the Shoshoni Post Office. He was always encouraging and cheerful. He loved a good joke and the history he could share about Shoshoni was remarkable. Always willing to lend a hand where needed, he will be greatly missed
Rest in peace Gayle and may your family be comforted with precious memories of this grand man

Gayle will be sadly missed by those of us in the fiddling community. He did an amazing job keeping the Wyoming State Old-time Fiddlers' Contest going for so many years. We treasure every minute we were able to spend with him over the years. Thoughts and prayers for his family and friends.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Gayle. He was such an icon in the town of Shoshoni. He was my neighbor for many years. After leaving and returning to Shoshoni it was great to see him and reminisce of our times together. Shoshoni Chamber of Commerce, Old Time Fiddlers, Tagging party, card parties at Preston and Leon's and many others. He definitely was a man of his time. Most kind, gentle soul and always a smile on his. Rest in Peace Gayle. You were loved and will be missed by so many. Sending my love and prayers to his families.

Heaven has gained a very special person. I'm sure there was a big group of his family and friends ready to greet him. Can you image the conversions, laughs and good times they are having. There are not enough words to truly describe all that Gayle was and all the he meant to our community and the folks that live here. He has left shoes that will not be easily filled. It will be our call to step up and contribute as much as he has. It has been an honor to know Gayle and call him a friend. He will be deeply missed.
