Elizabeth 'Betty' Botts

Botts, Elizabeth "Betty"

This is Marcheal. I am Rose's granddaughter and Judi's daughter. It has been a long, long time since I had the opportunity to visit with Aunt Betty. In fact I think it has been since the Appelhans reunion over 25 years ago. Remember rafting in the Snake River when we almost flipped! But she was always in my thoughts. I loved hearing Grandma Rose tell her stories about life on the farm and the trouble she and Betty would get into (or created!)

To Tom and Shelley, Beverly and Terry, and Joanne and John, my deepest sympathies at the passing of your truly unique mom. I know she will be greatly missed. Wished could we make the services however Rose does not wish to attend as she is too saddened about the passing of her dear, dear friend and sister.

Joanne, Tom & Beverly and families-

I am so saddened about the loss of your mother, our dear Betty. Please know you are all in our thoughts during this difficult time.

On my many visits to Wyoming as a child, My Grandma Rose would always make sure we went and visited Uncle Clyde and Aunt Betty. I always looked forward to the trip from Powell to Riverton. I have great memories of games in the basement of the house with all the kids giggling and running wild. I will never forget Aunt Betty showed me how to pluck a chicken, quite a shock for a girl raised in California! I particularly remember one 4th of July I was lucky enough to spend at the farm. Aunt Betty was always there with her big smile and generous heart. That is how I will always remember her.

She was such a good sister and dear friend to my Grandma Rose. My Grandma would excitedly call me and tell me "Betty is in town!". She so looked forward to spending time with your mother who she called "her sidekick". The two of them out all day in Vegas, gambling at casinos and having lunch. What a blast they had. She will be truly missed by us all.

With deepest sympathy-
