Jimmy Blackburn

Blackburn, Jimmy

Ruby and kids:
I am so sorry for your loss. Jimmy was a good person. This truly came as a shock to me. I remember back in the younger days when he would tease me, and Ruby, the comebacks you would have, you were both always laughing. Just recently I turned to him for his advice/wisdom. He will be missed by so many people. My prayers are with you.

Dear Ruby and family,
I am so very sorry that I cannot be with you right now. I am thinking of you and praying for you and sending you all my love.
Our lives are never going to be the same without Jimmy. He was the most wonderful friend to me for so many years, his prayers have changed my life. His generosity, his HEART, his songs are always somehow going to be part of us.
My kids will miss their Grandpa, Evan his Baa....
I am with you in my heart and hope that creator comforts you and gives you strength.
We love you
Andrea, Evan, Amadeus, Linette and Isaiah

From David Marbain- David Eagleheart
Jimmy was a dear brother to my wife Chen,a dear uncle to all my children and a wonderful friend to me.He gave the very best he had to my son David Marbain Jr.; his Arapaho name: Hinen Na'Ate.He wanted his nephew David Jr. to have a wonderful life so he gave him his very own Arapaho name that had served him so well all those many years. To my oldest daughter Alania he gave a beautiful name too: Janatniehise; Bluebird woman. For my daughter Cruz he said many prayers that are working out good for her at this time. I will always remember his excellent sense of humor, his beautiful hospitality- sharing his home and Sundance shade with us,his stories of the elders, his wisdom and teachings and the loving non-judgemental compassion that he always tried to show to his family friends and relatives. He had a beautiful singing voice and composed many beautiful songs for the Native American Church that will live on through eternity. He will be missed forever.Until we see you again,Ba.

I will miss my brother in law,Jimmy Blackburn. When I would visit you alls home, Jimmy would start teasing me making me laugh as soon as we would enter. Jimmy brought great joy to my heart with his joy of teasing. I had great repect for Jimmy because of the good hospitality and the kind words he would give my family and me. I will always keep you, your dear children and grandchildren in my prayers. Love is forever and to forget is never. Anige Turtle
