Carlon Baker Anderson
Carlon Anderson - 9/30/2025I only got to know Uncle Jim on short visits. To Mackinaw and to Wyoming. He took us to the Black Hills And to Devil's Tower. He helped us find our first cowboy hats and we dug out what us kids thought were big chunks of Garnets (they were small, and I have since lost them, but they were my birthstone so I thought it was really special.
he came to see us a few times in Cali. I remember my friends thought he was so funny, and just wanted to hang at my parents house instead of go out! Just to listen to my uncle tell his jokes and stories. I guess to be honest, I was kinda proud that I had a cool uncle that my friends wanted to hang out with! Now, my own kids thought he was pretty cool. Loved his jokes & Stories!!!
We’ll always remember Jim for his love of the outdoors, a good game of cornhole, and his quick sense of humor. He never missed the chance to share a laugh or enjoy good music with friends. His spirit will be dearly missed but always remembered with a smile. Our thoughts are with Julie, Jessica, Jordan and the rest of the family. Our love to all of you.

Barb Wolpert - 10/4/2025Mary Ann was fortunate to work in JIm's Life Science class for several years. That is why we can identify rocks, formations, faults, leaves, flowers, and clouds to name just a few.
About Jim's hunting.
We were both elk hunters. But Jim hunted with a bow. He told me once he thought he was on to something. JIm showed me two photos of bull elk with one extra point coming out on the left side of their rack. He said he just needed more data to prove it was a genetic trait.
I thought well that's all well and good but you'd have the shoot the elk first. A short time later Jim showed me a photo of a bull with the same kind of rack. But thius one was a seven point if you count that one extra point. And just massive. Way bigger than the other two bulls.
And I walked away thinkng I don't think I can compere with an elk hunter who goes out there and collects them for specimans.
Our condolances to the family. Bur Big Jim leved it.
