William 'Bill' Donelson

Donelson, William "Bill"

Mike, Shirley and families, I am so sorry about Bill. He was a good man and will be missed.

Ellen (Weber) Miller - 7/22/2011

I met Bill while at Denver Seminary in the mid 1980s, and we became fast friends. When I got married, Bill was one of my groomsmen. I loved him like a brother. My wife and kids loved him, and our kids called him "Uncle Bill." He was family.

Bill was in our house in April 2011 for a few hours while he was in transition from overseas to Denver - before he went to Japan.

Bill and I traveled to Russia two times, once in 1989 and again in 1990. In 1990, we led a team of about 14 people, staying in Russian homes for about two weeks. We returned through London and spent several days riding the subway, eating fish and chips, and touring the city.

I miss Bill greatly, and my life has been so much richer because of his presence in my life - and the life of my family. Bill truly blessed so many lives through his counseling and listening ear. He was full of wisdom and had a terrific laugh.

Bill rests in the loving arms of God - at peace, reveling in the full grace of God that we yearn for in this life. Bill, you were such a gift to me. I am so thankful for your life. Your great and forever friend, Dave Goetz

Mike, Shirley and extended family
So sorry to learn of the passing of your brother, Bill. It seems like "Billy" was the little tag-along brother only yesterday. It would seem he had a full and rich life; for that one can be grateful. Your extended families have been grieving for many recent losses; this is yet another. Know that many are thinking of you at this time and sending their support.

Shirley,
Please know you are in my prayers. It was such a treat to get to see Bill when he was with you at The Bull earlier this year. There are many fond memories of our time in 4-H. He has obviously touched many lives and may you find comfort in knowing he made a difference in this world.

Bill and I were classmates from grade school through High School. I have very fond memories of Bill. He had a great sense of humor and worked hard. You could count on him. I look forward to seeing him again and rejoice in the hope of the Resurrection. May that peace be with all you as you celebrate his life and mourn your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
