Cricket Mitchell

Mitchell, Cricket

Tim & Family;
Ours hearts are heavy with sadness for you and the family. Knew Cricket was getting sicker but did not know how bad. We are so sorry for your loss.
Know that she is no longer in pain; a bit of her will always be with you; her smile, her laugh, her own private thoughts she shared with you, be strong, know that you have many family and friends to lean on. God Bless.

To Tim and Family,

We are so sorry for your loss. Jeff and I have always considered you both one of our very best friends. Cricket will be missed dearly by all that were blessed to have known her. Such a young life gone way to early, her battle is done and now she is at peace. What we remember the most is her ability to see the good out of what she was dealt. Her positive attitude and fun loving spirit was a gift to all who knew her. She was one of the most unselfish person we have had the honor of knowing. Tim, please know we are here for you and if you need to get away come to Jackson where you have a whole other family that loves you dearly.

We know that Cricket was greeted with open arms yesterday. To Cricket.... "See ya later" because we will see you again.

God bless you Tim and all your family.

Tim, Tom & Phillip and family,
May God be with you at this time. Cricket and I were best friends all through school and beyond (34 years) and had many fun road trips. All the laughter, tears and giggles we had will be forever held dear. Cricket will be greatly missed by all those who crossed paths with her. We are comforted in knowing that she was met with open arms by mom and dad and her Heavenly Father. You are all in my prayers.
To Cricket: I love you my friend and you will be missed until we meet again.

Tim and Family,

I am very sad to hear of Cricket leaving us. I loved her and considered her a good friend. The picture you chose is beautiful. Please know that if there was something I could say or do to make this time less difficult I would try and do so. She touched many people and won't soon be forgotten.

Condolences to all of you. Cricket was one of those people that made an impression and her smile was just such a joy.

Linda Kracht - 9/27/2011

I had the pleasure of getting to know Cricket during her many visits to the University of Colorado PH Clinic. She was always a light when she walked in the door, even at visits when things were not going so well. Full of compassion Cricket was always there to comfort other PHers and their families and to walk with them as they learned to adapt to limits of the disease and to overcome them. I consider it a pleasure and an honor to have had the opportunity to know Cricket. She is truly missed and will certainly never be forgotton.

We are so deeply saddened at the news of Cricket's passing. We love her dearly now and will forever. If ever there was a model of courage, it is Cricket. She accepted all the medical problems endured by her body without complaint and never let it crush her spirit a bit. Her answer to "How are you?" was always, "I am good!" She was beautiful in both body and spirit. She had a multitude of talents, was full of life and managed to live that life to the fullest, always believing she could do anything she wanted without a problem. She was totally in command of her life at all times. We have so many warm memories of her and she will never be forgotten. Our comfort now is knowing that her pain and suffering are over and that the Heavenly Father took her immediately into his warm embrace. Now Cricket is having a joyful reunion with her loving parents.

Farewell, Cricket... until we meet again.

Much love,
Aunt Jeannette and Uncle Harold

I had a brief moment in my busy life to reflect on people I hadn't seen and memories of Cricket and Tim immediately popped into my head. Then I received the news of a great person and a friend had passed away.

As happens in life I began to wonder if Cricket ever new how much impact she had on others lives. Through her involvement in the Jaycees she directly helped hundreds of our local citizens. Indirectly thousands who knows.

Cricket always had a positive attitude, great smile and laugh. I can count on one hand and I don't need all of the fingers the times I have seen her down and that didn't usally last very long. Even when faced with the challenges of her illness she had the "I will make the best of it" attitude. Even though we didn't see each other as much as we did when we were in Jaycees Cricket was one of those people who picked up the conversations where we left off, even a year later.

I will always remember the outings at the lake, the BBQ's, dinners at her house, the demo derby's, the other great times friendship and life lessons I have learned from Cricket and Tim.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through this difficult time.

I am thankful that Cricket helped form the Wyoming PH Support Group with me. Despite her condition, Cricket stuffed envelopes, prepared educational displays, and attended health fairs with me. Through her efforts, the group touched a lot of lives and put information about PH into the hands of those whose who were scared from a recent diagnosis. Because of her health, Cricket had bad days when she couldn't leave home, but she was eager to help other PHers on the phone, giving them reassurance that they could live a full life even with PH. I enjoyed the time we spent together traveling to health fairs and meetings, working with the support group, and discussing quilt making.

My deepest sympathy to Cricket's family. I am unable to attend the funeral mass, but my prayers and thoughts are with each of you.

God's peace,

Nancy Stearns

Tim and Nancy amd Amy,
I first met Cricket and Tim in Jaycees when they were engaged, she was so excited and so in love. She was one of my first new friends when I moved to Riverton, and then later a in-law of sorts. Her positive spirit has always been an inspiration to me. I love you all and have you in my prayers. I will bring you a hug when I am home for a visit.

Scott and I wanted to let you know how sorry we were to hear of Cricket's death. It seems like just yesterday we were working concessions at the rodeo or you were stoking the fire at the Jaycee Home. Riverton has lost a wonderful, kindhearted woman! Cricket gave so much of her time to the community and we are fortunate to have worked by her side on a few occasions! You are in our prayers.

Tim and family,
I was so upset and sad to hear of Cricket’s passing. Heaven has gained one more angle but we have lost a wonderful woman here on earth. I just think of the thousands of people that she has helped with her involvement with the Jaycees. From taking the underprivileged children Christmas shopping to donating the Thanksgiving baskets. So many people’s lives are better because of Cricket and her beautiful smile. I miss her so much and keep remembering all the wonderful road trips we had going to conventions together. There will never be another person like Cricket and she will be missed. Please know that I'm thinking of you during this difficult time and wish I could be with you.

I was saddened to hear of the loss of Cricket..she was truly an amazing young woman who's personality and laughter could make even the grouchiest person crack a smile! I met Cricket thru the Jaycee Organization during a Convention in Riverton and felt then, that this young Jaycee could really make a difference in her community and with the people she met on a daily basis..and she did! WAY TO GO CRICKET!

My thoughts and prayers to Tim and family during this time of loss & sadness ..may the love of family and friends keep you strong and bless you on this day and always!

Blessings,

Dear Tim, Tom and Phil:
We were late in receiving the news about Cricket and there are no words to express our sorrow. She will be in good company with Aunt Georgia and Uncle Enez, Grandma and the rest of the Hernandez clan. I have to echo the sentiments of Aunt Cora who said what a glorious reunion there will be in Heaven -- if only we could have had Cricket with us a little longer.

Jared and Mario join me in sending you all our love.

My memories of Cricket are very fond from our days at St. Margaret's through high schoo. Although we lost touch throughout the years you have always been a very special memory to me. Your strenght along with the strength of your family during our time growing up has always been an inspiration. May you bless others now in heaven and serve in a way that gives you the freedom of pain. God bless you and your family!
