Perry E. Pasley

Pasley, Perry E.

To the Pasley Family, our condolences and prayers are with you at this difficult time

Tom & Barbette Hernandez - 11/22/2011

I was humbled and honored by Uncle Perry's military service. My first USAF assignment was Guam and Uncle Perry and I talked about life in the Marianas. Even though his photographs were confiscated, I will always remember his story of the Enola Gay landing on Tinian after dropping the A-bomb on Hiroshima. Uncle Perry said Col Tibbets was from Quincy, Illinois and they visited for an hour on August 6, 1945, taking several pictures of the aircraft and crew. I will miss him as an Uncle and U.S. military veteran. May God be with our family during this difficult time. Even though I will not be attending visitation and funeral services, I share with our family and friends in honoring his life and never forgetting his sacrifices to this grateful nation. 339

My dear Uncle Perry (Pappy), Thanks for all the guidance, the instilling of self worth and ultimately the ability to confront those in the wrong. Thank you for giving me a sense of direction, honor and pride. Funny how we view the people who shape our lives as young people. When the roll is called, I'll see you there. Love and honor, Treesher your neeeicer
