Joanne L. 'Joby' Hearth

Hearth, Joanne L. "Joby"

Donae, Rick and family ~ Her beauty, talant, and "cousin-re" shall be missed. Seemed she did nothing half way. To the best if my knowledge, she excelled in everything she ever achieved. The last time we saw each other was filled with giggling and sharing and remembering our folks and our beloved grandparents, Gonk and Grama Nina. We were blessed with a strong family with strong ties that stuck together. Of course I was the "baby" cousin, but I looked up at her in awe growing up. And, there was that little "unmentionable moment" during the wedding recitial of she and Don... but she still let me be her Jr. Bridesmade. And then, when it was my turn to marry, she helped make my attendents outfits and she and her Mother, Precious Nannie, made my garter...covered with pearls and sparkles and lace...and the Little Neck Pillows... My mother loved hers and took it 'home' with her. How she will be missed. Even though we didn't get the chance to spend much time together once we "grew up", her memory still is scattered through out my life, slipping in here and there quite often when I least expect it. A smile always crosses my face when it does. Of course, I guess that sums up Joby... at least the Joby I knew... She was the "Smile" that was left of the face of everyone who met her. Now once again she can sit with her precious Mother and Daddy and eat Grama Nina's cranberry relish and listen to Gonk tell her "It belongs to The Gonk and The Gonk loves it." Rest in peace dear Joby. You are Loved ~ Scootie (Lana), Bill, Birdie (Allison) and family

Dear Don and Family,

It has been about 20 years since I have seen Joby. She came over our place looking for my sister, Helen Silva Coffey. They graduated from Grant Union High School together. The two of you rented a house, on one of our ranches, from my folks many years ago.
You just couldn't be sad around Joby, as she was always so happy and being funny. We always had such good times together. She and Helen spent a lot of time together in high school. I believe the last time Helen saw Joby was at one of their class reunions. Bob, Helen and their daughter Christie visited you when you lived in Nevada about 1976.
I am sending my condolences to you and all the family.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF
JOBY HEARTH

HER JOURNEY

Mother has not left us…
She is just a thought away.
She’ll always be within our heart…
To love us thru each day.

Like flowers in the fields…
She was here to bloom with reason.
The sun was in her smile…
As she rounded out her season.

Laughter, warm and golden…
Will always be her mark.
And sun filled days of loving…
Light that gentle, special spark.

She has gathered up our sorrow…
And all our hurt and pain.
She has held us thru the dark night…
And shielded us from rain.

We are left with all her goodness…
We are heartened by her power.
Our strength is in her faith…
She grows with us each hour.

We will not forget her essence…
As it whirls around our life.
It will help us deal with sorrow…
And guide us thru our strife.

Her song will live within our minds…
Her words, so pure and clear.
So we will hear it all our days…
And know she is near.

Mother has not left us…
She is locked within our hearts.
And we can always find her…
Of our life ~ a fulsome part.
