Couldn't help but love Jim! His wonderful humor, charismatic personality, devotion and love for his country and family made him a very special man. We will never forget this man who charmed his way into our hearts! He will truly be missed by all. I know in my heart that God has accepted him with open arms for all the good he has done for others while he was with us.

Want to send my sincerest condolences to Mary Lou, Athena, Marty, Wally and all the Ray family.

If there is anything we can do, please let us know. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Love always,
Ron & Betty Ray

Mary Lou and family, My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. I had the pleasure of working with Jim while an Engineer with U S WEST and then Qwest, in Riverton and Evanston. I always enjoyed his wit and wisdom. When I took the Engineering position in Riverton in 1988 I was assigned his company truck when he retired. He always checked with me through the years after he retired to see how his truck was doing, and to make sure I was taking care of his "baby." He was a great man and his legacy will remain in his honor. I learned a lot about right of way from him, and I learned about service to your community and country also. I know he is in a better place. Hang on to your memories and may God grant you peace.

I am so sorry to learn of Jim's passing. But I'm sure once he gets settled in, the jokes and stories will flow in heaven!! There are plenty of his old friends already there, including my husband, to show him the ropes.

I worked with Jim in the gov't right-of-way support team in Cheyenne, and my husband Dick knew him for years, since Dick worked in OSP engineering, also. We shared a lot of laughs over the years, and I have lots of good memories of Jim.

He'll live on in your hearts and is still with you, just in a dimension we can't see right now. Rest assured he won't miss any important family occasion!
