The news of your mother's passing certainly brought a flood of memories, perhaps a few tears, but mostly laughter and love. Marion, and your whole family, was as much a part of my growing up as anyone. One of the images that always comes to mind is of one hot evening, sitting on your back steps, with your mother, eating home made ice cream. I don't know where everyone else was, but we explored a number of issues that a 5 year old needs to talk about. It was always a special event to talk with Marion whenever we were back in the Wind River basin. She remained vital, involved in life, and with excellent recall to the end. I really felt bad that the last visit, I had so much trouble understanding her. Until that visit I had not had much trouble.

Our thoughts and love are with you. We look forward to seeing you next time we are in the area.
