Orville 'Orv' Landen

Landen, Orville "Orv"

Bill, Tom, Mary and families, My condolences to all of you in Orv’s passing. It was a pleasure getting to know Orv at WVL. I loved listening to his lifelong stories. He was an amazing man! R.I.P. dear Orv.

Landen Families, Aline and I will miss Orv's smile and stories, just like we missed those with your mom. They were a part of our lives and true friends. Good times had by all at the "Lodge" in the Dunoir during hunting season. He is a good man gone. Reg & Aline Phillips

Dear Family:
Please accept our deepest condolences to your family for the loss of your loved one. May you be comforted by knowing that the Almighty God is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18) Our King, Jesus Christ told us to pray for the Kingdom to come on earth in the Lord's Prayer. (Mathew 6: 10) That Kingdom will put an end to all of the pain and suffering we experience today. May the beautiful memories shared with your loved one along with knowing that we will be able to see our precious dead loved ones again in the near future when God's Kingdom rule over the earth grant you peace and comfort at this difficult time. (John 5:28,29)
Sincerest Sympathies,
The Webb Family

Tom and Bill,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Your dad sounds like he was a good man. The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. Having lost my dad just four years ago, I am grateful to still have Mom. I can't imagine your suffering at this time. My heart goes out to you and your families. I will include you all and your parents in my rosaries, DM chaplets, and Mass intentions. Everytime I pass a cemetery I pray for the souls, by name and in general. I'll remember your parents now, too.
I so want to come up for the funeral Mass, but will be on an airplane to Connecticut (my aunt is coming into The Church Sunday!). Please know I will be joining you all in spirit and holding you in prayer at that time.
I was "daddy's little girl," and losing him was bittersweet. I miss him dearly, but there is a silver lining. He truly is in a better place (no more suffering). He can be with me no matter where I go. I still have the blessing and joy of being his daughter--a daughter of an honorable, loving and well-loved man. His funeral was packed with some of the best people I have ever known. May you receive similar consolations in the months and years ahead.
We have been blessed with truly wonderful and amazing parents! May you experience the blessing of laughter through tears.
Ever yours,
Susan Sherwood
Glenrock
P.S. Now I know where you two got your good looks! Both of you have your dad's eyes and smile. Cool.

Our condolences to all of you in the loss of Orv. He and Donna were an integral part of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Their contributions to Wyoming’s fish and wildlife resources were significant. We always enjoyed visiting with them. Orv was one of our favorite people and certainly one of the greatest generation. God Bless you all.

Our belated condolences to the Landen family. Orv was a great mentor to me during my Game and Fish career, but was an even greater friend. The support he and Donna gave to our children during their school years will always be remembered and it was always so enjoyable to go over to their house and see what was "new". Orv was a great man and a great example to all of us of a Godly man, husband, and father!
