James 'Jim' Glen Allard

Allard, James "Jim" Glen

I will greatly miss my Uncle Jim. I am forever grateful that Jim has been part of my entire life. Jim was a great brother to my Dad, Chuck. My Mom and Dad took me and my five siblings to Riverton several times a year. Uncle Jim and Aunt Joyce would always spend time with all of us. It was great fun to help in their garden, visit Jim’s art studio and play with their dogs. As I grew, my fun was driving his pickup trucks in the hills and spending time at his ranches and farms, usually finding trouble along the way. As we grew older together, Jim and I would delight in telling the stories of those days. Jim could sure tell a story and his sense of humor made them so good to the soul.

This man over 6 feet tall, friendly and kind, talented beyond belief -- there was no one else whom I admired more. He taught me a lot, he taught all of us lots. Because Uncle Jim has always been part of my life his influence is profound. I aspire to live up to his high standards of hard work, faith and honesty. He truly blessed my life and because of his example I became the person I am today. I will miss you beyond belief, Uncle Jim. I love you so very much.
