Joseph 'Joe' Cassinat

Cassinat, Joseph "Joe"

I met Mr. Cassinat when I was a young band musician many years ago. He has also worked in classrooms with my children for several years. I still have a Fb message complimenting my sons for their musical talents and efforts in middle and high school band saved in my photos. Mr. Cassinat was an important part of their band experiences. He was a wonderful teacher, friend, and man. We will miss him....

May his memory be eternal!

Truly one of the greats in education. A joy to work with-helped many, many students even after he retired. Didn`t really care if he was payed or not! RIP Joe.

Mr. Cassinat will be missed. I feel fortunate to be able to say Mr. Cassinat was a part of my band experiences and he also, many years later, was able to assist my sons with theirs. Many prayers to his family.

Joe was the best neighbor over the past 17 years, couldn’t ask for a better one! As much as we would try to help him, he would always end up blessing us! We have greatly missed him not being right next door over the past year, but I’m so glad he is finally at rest. Many prayers to his family, Joe was a great man.

My sincerest sympathies to the family. I had Joe as a teacher, he made me play the flute (which I hated), but I am glad he was there for me. He was a great teacher.
May he rest in peace now.

Joe was the best neighbor and a good friend. For years on a clear Sunday morning, you could hear the beautiful sounds of the latest trumpet Joe would be working on. He always had a kind word, and a good story to tell. Rest in peace, Joe.

Love you Joe! I will cherish our friendship and miss that wonderful laugh until we meet again!

I just saw this and wanted to say how sorry I am. Joe was the music teacher for my late wife Jean (Seipt). Because of him, I met her at all-state band. Thanks Joe.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Joe Cassinat. Though I never met him, I feel I got to know the kind of man he was when writing about him and his relationship to Verne Wood and Desert Dust from interviews he had with my coauthor. Also, as one who played the saxophone for many years in elementary school, junior high school, and high school, I understand the impact a great music teacher can have and I'd bet Joe was one of a kind. Sail on Joe.

I am so sorry to hear about Joe’s passing. Mr. C was a wonderful human being! I loved having him as my junior high choir teacher, appreciated his knowledge of instruments, and enjoyed his music store. I will never forget his booming voice! God comfort you as you grieve his passing, and leave you with beautiful memories.

Class of ‘69. Chorus was my favorite class. Mr C awakened a lifelong love of music, which I was able to pass on to my children.
I’m sure you’re singing with the angels Mr C. God bless.
