June was such an incredible mentor for me at CWC. Her dignity, wisdom and depth of character was powered by her wonderful laughter. What a gift she was to all.

So sorry to hear of June’s passing. I enjoyed working with June in the District 25 Indian Education Program. She was a wealth of knowledge about culture, traditions, and history. One of my fondest memories is when June headed up a pow wow at Jefferson Elementary School. She rounded up so many wonderful elders & people for hand games, teepees, beading, storytelling, and I especially remember wonderful chokecherry juice and fry bread - made for literally a thousand students! What talent to pull that all off! My sincere sympathy for her children, grandchildren and family members in the passing of June. She had an infectious laugh & a beautiful smile. My condolences.
