One year in the eighth grade, Dallas and I volunteered at the soup kitchen nearly every day of christmas break preparing food and serving it to the community. There was a garden hose and a sprayer in the pantry that we'd splash each other with to help pass some down time. Kind of made a little mess of that room but those two weeks were fun. Thanks for keeping me company through obtaining my music honor society volunteer hours, Dallas. I remember you also deflating the beach ball being passed around while sitting next to me at graduation cuz Ms. Dickey was giving our class 'the look' for even having them. And Kelsey, I have been thinking of you and the children often. They're lucky to have you and each other through this time. I'm sending you comforting hugs from afar. Remember 'Onomatopoeia'. Rest easy, Dallas.
