Madeleine 'Cissie' Rozier

Rozier, Madeleine "Cissie"

It has saddened my heart to hear that my "little taveling buddy" has gone on to travel with her Lord in internity. She was a dear special friend of mine and the memories we shared will last a life time in my mind.

When I saw her last, I said I would come see her again, I will see her in heaven along with my mom and dad who passed on, Cissie knew them well too, I am sure they have met up in heaven to wait for me to one day see them all again.

It was a great pleasure and a JOY to have Cissie for my friend, I will truly miss her!!

to the family I say, "Hold on to all the memories this dear special lady gave each of you, I know I will hold on my memories of her in my heart till we meet again." Peace and comfort to you all at this very sad time.

Roziers were some of the first people we met when we moved to Riverton. I was teaching at St. Stephen's at the time; Hank was a bus driver. The whole Rozier family was welcoming and kind to us newcomers. All the the amazing, bright, generous Rozier children are a testimony to Cissie and her guidance. Her quick smile and laugh were a blessing to us. We are blessed to have known such an outstanding woman.
We are sorry for your loss. You are in our prayers.
Peace.

Cissie was one of the most infulentual people in my life. I met with her a couple times a week when I attended St. Margaret's Elementary School from '81-'86. She worked with me on advanced math and reading as well as teaching me how to write backwards and to play chess.

I found aout about her death when my mother called me from Omaha, NE. I'm sure there are a great many people whom she touched all over the country who join me in mourning her passing and in celebrating her amazing life. I last saw her a couple years ago after she had returned from a trip to Australia to visit her family. Her immense pride in her children and grandchildren always shone through when she spoke of them.

I am very proud and humbled to call Cissie a friend and mentor and I know she will always be smiling down on me. The lessons she taught me will be passed along to my children and grandchildren and the memory of her smiling face will continue to lift me up when I fell down

What a neat lady Cissie was! I knew her first as a friend's mother and then as a wonderful caring teacher's helper when I worked at St. Margarets school as a teacher. She always had a ready smile and a quick laugh.
May you find comfort in your memories of an amazing lady. I will not be able to be at the funeral but you will be in my prayers at that time and in the days to come.

I feel like another "parent" of mine has passed away. Your mom meant so much to me. She attended my father-in-law's funeral (Bob Campbell). I didn't break down until I saw Cissie. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with all of you!

Renee -

Please know that in addition to your wonderful, large family, you are also supported by your "family" in Texas. You are such a caring and dear friend - I can only imagine what a wonderful person your mom must have been!

With much love -

To the Rozier Children,

We wish you peace and loving memories during this time. We will always think of your Mom when ever we see a bright red Spitfire. We can just picture her with her winning smile and her pretty pink lipstick. She can be see in each and everyone of you. It is obvious where you all get your great personalities and loving spirits.

There are not enough words to describe the type of beautiful person
Cissie was: Sincere, Lovely (inside and out), Interesting, Joyful, Intelligent, Soulful, Warm-hearted, Generous, Delightful, Pure in
Spirit, Wholesome, Gracious, Well-mannered, Thoughtful, Insightful
and Precious to her family and friends. Oh, how she will be missed
by all! The world has lost a dear, dear soul, but Heaven has gained
one more shining Angel. We can all contact her any time we want...
and she will be there for us, listening, smiling, nodding her head
and saying all the things we want to hear.
Bon Voyage, Dear Friend,
Bob and Beth Strickler

To Cissie's family,

You don't know me, I am Beth Strickler's daughter, and I didn't know Cissie real well, just as a friend to my mom. The couple of times I was around her, though, I could tell she really meant a lot to my mom. I am so sorry for your loss, and I know my mom has lost a dear friend. She will be fondly remembered.

Diane Johnson - 3/31/2009

Our sister, Beth Strickler introduced us to Cissie many years ago, and we have enjoyed her humor, intelligence, card-playing abilities, and observations ever since!! She was, without a doubt, the kindest, gentlest, most generous person I have ever met. We will miss her and God will be so very glad to welcome her into his fold. She had a truly beautiful soul.
Our love and sympathy to her family and friends....

Dear family
Our son Brad Howard has already written a note to you but we also wanted to send our love to all of you. We knew your Mom for the 26 years that we lived in Riverton. I am sure that you will all miss your Mom each and everyday but what wonderful memories and blessings she has given to so many. She was truly an example of "I live now,not I but Chirst lives in me". Our family will celebrate that she touched our lives in so many special ways. Christ Peace to all

Mr. & Mrs Rozier were our neighbors for many years. Cissie was always very generous to our son when he did a bit of yard work for them she made him the chocolate no-bake cookies. She will always be dear to my heart.
Deepest Sympathy,
Shirley

Madeleine Rozier was my mother-in-law and she will be dearly missed by our family. From the first time we met she welcomed me into her family and her heart. She attended our wedding in Virginia in 2003, and visited again shortly after the birth of our first child Emily, and again after the adoption of our son Daniel two years ago. We had the pleasure of taking several trips to Riverton over the years and always delighted in sharing that part of her life with her. Cissie was one of the kindest most genuine people I've ever known, and it saddens me greatly to lose her as part of our family. But as my wise 5 year old daughter said, "She will always be part of our family even if she's not with us, because we will still have our memories of her." We will indeed... many wonderful memories to be cherished for the years to come.

We will miss you greatly "Mom" and "Grandma Cissie"

I've known Cissie Rozier for only 6 years, since my daughter Laura had the great good fortune to fall in love with Mike Rozier and marry into the wonderful Rozier family. Cissie was an impressively warm, welcoming woman with much enthusiasm and a great sense of humor. I treasure the lovely letters she sent me and the e-mails we exchanged. I will miss "cybercissie".

Frank and I have been so blessed to have lived next door to this beautiful, loving, wonderful woman for the past 13 years.
We have spent so many wonderful events with Cissie. She brought so much joy into our lives.
This is a great loss to both Frank and I and we are so thankful for all the wonderful times we shared with her.
We had always said.."If they were to value one's property by your neighbor, we had the most expensive piece of property in Riverton, Wyoming!"
Cissie was a part of our family and we loved her as much as she loved us and we are so thankful to the Good Lord for planting us next door to her.
You will always be in our hearts, Cissie!
To all 6 of the Rozier children, we love all of you so very much!
Your Mom was so proud of each of you, she will be watching over you and your loved ones now!
To all of Cissie's grandchildren, remember, your grandmother loves each of you and she is watching you, and is very proud of you too.
