I am glad I got a chance to visit Barb at her home in Riverton about a year ago this month. We had a great time and went to lunch where she told me lots of stories about her time in nursing school and many other wild stories. She loved learning and taking classes at the college and spending time with the her younger classmates. Barb was very interested in the native american culture and history. She told me she still felt wild and young at heart and shared with me her hope to still be alive on December 21, 2012 just to see if there was a doomsday event or if all goes on as usual. Even though Barb may not physically be here to witness that day she will still find out what happens. I am blessed by crossing paths with Barb, she will be with me always.

I meet Barb when a friend of mine was going to Nursing School in Riverton. Barb was taking classes at the same time and living in Riverton during the week. My friend and Barb shared the same apt building and were friends. When I met Barb it was like at the first moment. She was always so full of stories and good advise and I adored her. We remained friends even after I moved to Reno 20 years ago. She came to visit in Reno a few times in those years and we came to visit her when we were visiting in Jackson. One time we rode our motorcycles over Toggatee Pass just to have lunch with her in Dubois. Jean left the key on so her bike wouldn't start when it came time to leave, so Hank had to come help jump the bike. Jean and I have stayed with her in Dubois and she took us arrow head hunting in one of her favorite spots. Hank brought her to Reno the last time I saw her and she liked to go 'junkin' while visiting there. I miss her even though we haven't been together for some time now. Raise a glass to one of my oldest best friends.
